In the late 1970s a unique book appeared — The Aquarian Conspiracy by Marilyn Ferguson. Looking across our systems of education, business, health care and human interaction, she noticed small but significant shifts aligning themselves with ideals, not just ideas — that people would find themselves in binds if they were ever not living a life that truly nourished their whole being.
To us, here at Heights Chiropractic and Health Centre, it is obvious that today we are in full swing of reflecting this ethic.

Crisis intervention, with our modern technology and excellent research, is very impressive. But what is being done to educate people as to the true nature of the healthy state? When do people become aware that they are directly responsible for their own state of health?
If you assume that the homeostatic mechanism of the body is always at work — and it is — then the real questions become: which mechanisms, on which level of a person's being, have gotten out of balance? How did that imbalance occur, and what environment allowed it to drift so far from center? Instead of only targeting a disease and attempting to eradicate it, an opportunity is present for patient and practitioner to learn, together, how to recreate balance and health.
